Recently went to a Desaru 1 day getaway holiday trip with a couple of friends and had a fun filled day there.. :)
Had Dim sum and Wantan noodle breakfast in Taman Sentosa at 8am, before heading down to Desaru for Crocodile world. The uncle there was quite friendly. Gave us a very brief intro on the place and we started wonder around the farm on our own before one of the keepers came by and start provoking the crocodiles to move on a warm and humid saturday afternoon. After a 40 mins walk around the park.. everyone was thirsty so we moved on to the nearest restaurant to have some drinks and maybe grab some bite too..
We had lunch at one of this ulu restaurant where you medium size fried rice is almost equal to the large versions in Singapore. Imagine how big can it be then.. wahah .. Food wasnt that fantastic but the funny part is that the crocodile farm uncle is there tooo .. wahaha .. wonder if he had owned the restaurant and the farm as well.. wahah even thou he gave an excuse to say the boss ask him to come by to look after the shop.. Soon the skies grew darker as the food were served piping hot. We had to carry on the road trip despite the rain... Thank God it stopped on our way to the fruit farm...
When we finally arrived at the fruit farm.. it was a rather big place to say.. we walked around the main lobby house.. where all the fruits were sold.. we purchased our tickets for entry to the farm.. which we are to take a mini bus to the destination. Waited for 20 mins and no sign of it coming by ... and still waiting..
So the bus finally came and we boarded the mini bus to a destination which was only 2 mins drive from where we board the bus..ridiculous... should have walked!! wahaha As intro.. the place is 220 sq hectures.. just in case you can't imagine how much is 220 sq hectures. take 1 hecture to be 10,000 square metres (107,639 sq ft) ... freaking big rite??? wahaha
In the farm they harvest lots of different types of fruits like Durians, mangosteens, mangos, pomelo, bread fruit, guavas and many many types of different fruits.. they even harvest honey too.. so we just eat eat eat.. see see see.. look look look..
The day finally ended off with a relaxing view at Desaru Beach ... the wind blowing.. the waves and the sand!!! Woow... nice!!!
I will be back again... :)
